This simple but highly effective ginger and lemon shot is perfect to take in the morning as a wake up booster to start your day refreshed and energized. Especially when you feel a cold or flu is coming up. It might give you a boost and prevent you from getting sick.
Ginger has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It may help reduce muscle pain and soreness. Ginger may also reduce menstruation pain and improve brain functions and help fight flus and colds and much more.
Lemon promotes hydration and is a good source of Vitamin C. It is also known to aid digestion and supports weight loss (especially when taken in the morning). It can balance your bodies PH levels and freshens your breath 🙂
In order to make this power shot 🙂 Put all the ingredients in a juicer. But don’t worry if you don’t have a juicer at home. You can also use your blender. Just make sure to add a little water and when you finish blending, you will need to strain the mixture into a “nut milk bag” a filter to make different type of vegan milks and vegetable juices (you can find reusable bags on amazon for sale), squeezing the mixture to the maximum to obtain the best amount of liquid possible.
Optional natural raw honey and or cayenne pepper
I personally love adding a little cayenne pepper, not only does it taste good but it can also help reduce inflammation and is a great antioxidant that prevents oxidative stress.
